I consider the art work below to be some of my best. All were done during my college years 1980 - 1982 except for the sketch of the gorilla when I was married and living in South Florida. The first sketch below of Jesus still hangs on the wall at a Church of the Nazarene in Chuckey, TN. The others were drawn for my art class at Kentucky Mountain Bible College.
Thanks to my Aunt Jane who provided my art supplies while I was going to school out of state with no means to buy my own. I (((heart))) you, Auntie.
When I took art my senior year at Mount Carmel High School in Jackson, KY, I did an acrylic painting of a forest with a white blooming dogwood tree standing next to a creek. Mr. Raymond Swauger, a KMBC staff member, purchased it for $25. The painting hung in his home until his passing. This was before digital cameras, otherwise, it would be in the collection below.

Elijah ascends to heaven. His cloak is left for Elisha to continue to do greater miracles and spreads the good news. This was done with colored pencils.
The Empty Tomb. "He is not here. He is risen!" This was done with oil pastel or wax oil crayon.
A male gorilla from the Miami Metro Zoo.
The Good Samaritan as told in the New Testament. This was done with oil pastel or wax oil crayon.
The babe Moses taken into the house of Pharoh. Done with colored pencils.
And lastly, a sketch of my favorite Uncle Victor, Carol Ann, and little cousin Angela. I think the portrait was originally taken in the 70's during my high school years.
